Documentary: Britney Spears’ calls and messages were monitored during the guardianship period

A security company revealed that all calls and messages of American pop star, Britney Spears, were being monitored without her knowledge, during her guardianship period by her father Jamie.

This came in a new documentary film presented by the American newspaper “The New York Times”, yesterday, Friday, entitled “Controlling Britney Spears”, which reveals the secrets of the guardianship period, which began in 2008.

Alex Vlasov, a former employee of the security company “Black Box”, said that he worked with the Britney Spears team for nearly 9 years, and added that his previous company had access to her account on “iCloud” to eavesdrop on all her calls and messages, according to “Reuters”. .

Vlasov added that a listening device was also implanted in Britney Spears’ bedroom.

Alex Vlasov told the makers of the documentary that he was asked to encrypt some of Spears’ text conversations so that they could be sent to her father, Jamie Spears, and an employee of a business management firm that the latter had hired.

When questioning the legality of the surveillance, Vlasov said, he told the documentary that he had been told that Britney Spears’ communications were being reviewed “for her security and protection”, and that the court overseeing the guardianship was “aware of this.”

He noted that discussions between Britney Spears and her lawyer, Sam Ingham, were wiretapped.

The documentary featured a statement from security company Black Box in response to the testimony of its former employee, Alex Vlasov, which stated: “Black Box and its president have always acted within professional, ethical and legal boundaries, and they are particularly proud of their work in preserving Ms. Spears is safe for many years.”

For his part, Britney Spears’ new lawyer, Matthew Rosengart, confirmed in a statement that he will investigate the new allegations in the documentary about the wiretapping of her calls and messages, and stressed that “intercepting or monitoring Britney’s communications is a shameful and shocking violation of her privacy and civil liberties.”

Britney Spears is battling to end guardianship imposed by her father, Jimmy Spears, in 2008 to oversee her personal affairs and nearly $60 million in real estate, after suffering a mental health breakdown.

The famous singer said in June that the guardianship was offensive and insulting to her.

But in a surprise move earlier this month, Jimmy Spears said he supported ending the guardianship because circumstances had changed.

A hearing in the case is scheduled for Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court.
