Microsoft has released a new security update for the Windows operating system to remedy a serious vulnerability that could infect Office files.
Microsoft explained, according to the specialized technical website Engadget, that the new Windows security update fixes about 66 security vulnerabilities, in one of the largest security fixes across the most popular operating system in the world.
This update on Windows addresses one of the most dangerous security vulnerabilities currently circulating, from which hackers target Office files to plant malicious software in its heart.
Microsoft had previously issued warnings about this malicious software, but it did not release fixes and security updates until now, and it was content with warning users not to open unsafe Office files or from strangers.
