“Tarzan of Vietnam” returned to the people and soon died of cancer

The Daily Mail said that Ho Van Lang, nicknamed “Tarzan of Vietnam” who only 8 years ago returned to civilization after forty years in the jungle, died of cancer at the age of 52.

The newspaper reported that “Tarzan” and his father took refuge in the tropical forests and lived there since 1972, after their relatives were killed in a US air strike. All this time, they did not attempt to contact the outside world, believing that the danger surrounding them would continue.

In addition to his father, Lang saw only 5 people, none of whom were women. He saw his outward appearance only by his reflection in the river’s water, and he only learned to count to ten. All this time he was eating bats.

The man returned to the village in 2013, after he was found by people wandering in the woods in search of wood. The paper notes that returning to the “civilized world” has not benefited Lang.
