A Libyan citizen found the remains of a semi-integrated skeleton in the Libyan desert, indicating a small dinosaur.
According to the Libyan News Agency, the skeleton is the size of a palm, and some of its limbs have been damaged, but its general structure is still coherent and has a strong head and visible jaws, and what distinguishes it is its small size, which does not exceed 15 centimeters.
The citizen who found the skeleton said that he found it apparent by erosion factors, and drew his attention to the size of the head, which made him pick up the skeleton, which turned out to be similar to large dinosaurs in terms of shape, despite its small size, as it has large teeth and a strong jaw compared to its size.
The citizen explained that he contacted specialists in paleontology, who told him that what was found was a species belonging to the “Congo Navon Kelly” species, which preceded the dinosaurs and the flying “Terosuras”, and that some of them were only 10 centimeters long.
According to the agency, photos taken of the skeleton show that the little dinosaur appears to have been an adult at the time of his death due to the growth rings in his bones.
The citizen keeps the remains of the dinosaur as a memory of the eras that passed on life in the Libyan lands, which made him interested in learning and studying the era of dinosaurs a lot and read about them, expressing his willingness to give what was found to any scientific body or university that wants to study and benefit scientifically.
