Sudanese Minister: Lifting sanctions and removing Sudan from the terrorism list facilitates investment

The Sudanese Minister of Investment, Al-Hadi Mohamed Ibrahim, announced that lifting sanctions on Sudan and removing its name from the terrorism list increases investment in the country.

The minister said that the fields in which investment is available to Saudi investors are mining, railways, transportation, communications, fisheries, electricity, energy and communications, according to the Sudanese newspaper, Al-Intibaha.

During a Saudi-Sudanese meeting, Al-Hadi Muhammad Ibrahim confirmed his ministry’s work to restore his country to its normal state among the countries of the world.

The minister indicated that many measures have been taken to facilitate work procedures for investors.

The Sudanese Minister of Investment affirmed that understandings had been reached that would remove all difficulties facing the foreign investor.

Al-Hadi considered that Sudan’s conditions have become better in terms of investment, especially after the lifting of sanctions against Khartoum and the removal of the name from the list of terrorism.

A Saudi delegation is visiting Sudan headed by the Minister of Environment and Agriculture Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Fadhli.
