British media reported that the English judiciary issued a new penalty against the Algerian star of Manchester City, Riyad Mahrez, for driving his car recklessly.
According to the British newspaper “The Sun”, Mehrez was caught last May traveling at a speed of 193 kilometers per hour, in an area where the speed is not supposed to exceed 113 kilometers per hour.
The newspaper pointed out that the star of the Algerian national team and the Manchester City team admitted the violation he committed.
She added that Mahrez was punished by paying a fine of 2,500 pounds, in addition to withdrawing his driver’s license for 56 days.
The newspaper stated that this is not the first time that Mahrez has been punished for speeding, as he committed the same violation in November 2020 and was punished last July by not driving for a period.
It is noteworthy that Riyad Mahrez joined Manchester City in 2018, coming from Leicester City, and participated with the team in 146 matches in various competitions, scoring 40 goals and providing 38 assists.
