In a statement to the Algerian newspaper, An-Nahar, Fathi Noureen said, “This punishment only increased my honor and pride in this decision, and the International Judo Federation exposed itself in collusion with the Zionists and terrorism who kill Muslims and innocents day and night.”

He added, “The Algerian Federation, headed by Seleni, had betrayal and complicity with the issue, unlike the position of the Algerian state, as he made statements that he was surprised by these decisions and that we went to represent Algeria and not to represent Palestine, and this was transmitted by people who were pressuring him, and Seleni is known for his dishonorable positions and he must It is up to the Ministry to intervene.

Meanwhile, the Algerian Minister of Youth and Sports, Abdel Razzaq Sbakk, said that “the punishment suffered by the former coach of the national judo team, Ammar Benkhlef, and wrestler Fathi Norine is cruel and unfair, and we will try to reduce the penalty of the International Judo Federation as much as possible.”

Today, Wednesday, Sebakk said, “His interests have entrusted the president of the Algerian Olympic Committee to file an appeal before the international body, and we will do everything we can to preserve the Algerian champion, Fathi Norine.”

The International Judo Federation issued its penalty against the Algerian wrestler, Fathi Noreen, and his coach Ammar Benkhlef, after the former refused to face an Israeli competitor, during the last Olympics in Tokyo, where the “SEO” decided to deprive the Algerian champions of all official competitions for a full 10 years.
