Important WhatsApp terms for transferring chat history from “iPhone” to “Samsung”… and steps to implement the process

And WhatsApp confirmed in a statement, Thursday, that “changing your phone no longer means losing your chat history, starting now, you can transfer your WhatsApp history from iPhone to Samsung.”

And WhatsApp indicated that this feature, which has been waiting for years from its users, will be available on all other devices soon.

And he added: “A new phone, the same memories.”

WhatsApp confirms that the data transfer process is completely secure, and that it cannot see the transferred data.

The data that is allowed and not allowed to be transferred

In the case of moving from the “iPhone” phone to a new “Samsung” phone that was just purchased, the new feature that “WhatsApp” currently provides allows the transfer of account information, profile picture, individual and group conversations, chat history, media and settings.

As for the data that cannot be transferred to the new Samsung phone, it is the call history, or the username that he chooses for himself and appears in front of his contacts.
Terms of data transfer from “iPhone” to Samsung

1) It must be a brand new Samsung phone and the transfer process must be done with “factory settings.” If you have an old “Samsung” phone, a full factory reset must be done.

2) The old iPhone must have a WhatsApp version number “2.21.160.17” or later.

3) The new “Samsung” phone must have the “WhatsApp” version number “2.21.16.20” or later.

4) The new Samsung phone needs to install version 3.7.22.1 of the Samsung SmartSwitch app or later.

5) The transfer process is carried out via “USB-C” or “Lightning” cables.

1) Turn on your Samsung phone and connect it to your iPhone via cable when prompted
