The outcome… of the rise of institutions to save people from the hell of ISIS in Nineveh, northern Iraq

The United Nations Development Program in Iraq has so far been able to rehabilitate and restore many important hospitals that were destroyed and looted by the terrorist organization “ISIS” when it seized Nineveh and its center of Mosul in 2014, up to the necessary need for health isolation centers for patients of the Corona pandemic.

The resident representative of the United Nations Development Program in Iraq, Zina Ali Ahmed, revealed, in an interview with “Sputnik” agency, today, Tuesday, the rehabilitation of dozens of health centers and hospitals in Nineveh, in the north of the country.
Ali Ahmed explained that the United Nations program has focused on the rehabilitation and construction of 11 hospitals and hospital wards in Nineveh so far, including public hospitals in Hamdaniya and Qayyarah, southeast of Mosul, the governorate center.

She added that the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has also rehabilitated 46 public health centers throughout Nineveh.

It is worth noting that the United Nations Development Program has completed nearly 200 water infrastructure projects throughout the liberated areas of Anbar, Diyala, Kirkuk, Nineveh and Salah al-Din, within the Stabilization Program, and has provided more than 3.5 million people with improved access to water, while work is underway. Also in 50 other projects.

In December 2017, Iraq announced the liberation of its entire territory from the grip of ISIS (the terrorist banned in Russia and a large number of countries), after about 3 and a half years of confrontations with the terrorist organization that occupied about a third of the country.
