Peter Andre and Katie Price’s son Junior is set to follow in his father’s footsteps after signing a major record deal.
The 16-year-old aspiring star has signed to Columbia UK – the home to artists including Harry Styles, Robbie Williams and George Ezra – and has his ‘Mysterious Girl’ hitmaker dad to thank for setting him up at the Rebel Record studios in London where he’s been secretly working on a “massive” project.
He announced on Instagram: “Wow. Where do I start? These past six months have been hectic. But I’ve loved every single second of it. My dad took me to the studio six months ago and got me in the booth at @rebelrecs.
“Since then I have secretly been working on a MASSIVE project, and not long ago got a call saying @columbiauk want to sign me!
“I would just like to say thank you to the team @rebelrecs alongside my dad who have helped develop me into an artist.
“Of course a big shoutout to @sktartist and @marcellonoego who are very talented and have been working with me on this project since the start.”
The teenager also thanked his former glamour model mum – who also has daughter Princess, 14, with the 48-year-old singer – for always supporting him and teased that it won’t be long until his music is released.
He added: “Not forgetting my mum who is always supportive of me.
“And of course my family and friends. I love everyone who supports me and I am very excited to go on this journey with you all. NEW MUSIC COMING SOON!! (sic)”
Peter – who also has Amelia, seven, and Theodore, four, with wife Emily – gushed about how “proud” he is of his son.
Teasing his son about posting an embarrassing photo, he commented: “Beyond proud. Wait until you see the pic I post later.”
Peter is best known for 1996 track ‘Mysterious Girl’, which didn’t top the charts until it was re-released in 2004 in the UK.
The chart success came after his stint in the ‘I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here!’ jungle, where he met Katie, 43.
