Local media in Syria reported that three university professors at a Syrian university had been referred to disciplinary boards for violations, financial corruption and “harassment.”
The President of Al-Furat University (eastern Syria), Dr. Taha Al-Khalifa, revealed in an exclusive statement to Al-Watan that 3 faculty members at the university were referred to disciplinary boards in the faculties of petrochemistry, law and education.
He stressed that the decision came after immoral violations by one of the faculty members, in addition to leaking questions in exchange for money, while selling the questions to one of the girls who leaked them to other students.
The Khalifa pointed to the formation of a committee that examined the matter, so that a decision would be taken to suspend them from work for a period of 3 months, indicating the termination of the assignment of two of them from their positions as deputies to the dean, bearing in mind that the final decision is issued by the Disciplinary Council headed by a judge to investigate the matter with taking the necessary measures against violators .
And the social media had reported news of a harassment scandal that took place in a Syrian university between a teacher and a student, and a video clip documenting this spread.
However, the pioneers of some websites later said that the published video of the teacher (a doctor at the university) was filmed to blackmail the doctor, in order to obtain exam questions.
