Today, Wednesday, infectious disease doctor Svetlana Malinovskaya said that there are two ways of transmission of the Corona virus, noting that the most dangerous of them is transmission through the air.
Moscow – Sputnik. “There are two main ways of transmission of the Corona virus; through the air and direct contact,” Malinovskaya said in statements to “Sputnik”.
She explained that in the second type, infection occurs when it is transmitted through direct contact with the patient’s mucous membranes, for example, by kissing or by (friction) with the skin – if the patient sneezes into his hands and then shook hands with him.
She noted that, it is also possible (transmission of infection) by indirect contact – this is the entry of the virus from the mucous membranes to the hands, and from dirty hands to surfaces such as furniture, door handles and handrails in public transport.
And she added, “The transmission of corona through the air is the most dangerous. If the virus enters the human body through inhalation, the dose received immediately enters the deep parts of the respiratory system and begins to multiply rapidly, affecting the lungs.”
And Malinovskalia added: “If the Corona virus penetrates the body through the mucous membranes, then the doctors will have more time to treat the sick person, explaining that this depends on where the virus begins to multiply, and that is why doctors always remind you to wear masks.”
