Business Insider reported that Microsoft founder Bill Gates and his wife, Melinda French Gates, have officially registered their divorce, after they announced their intention to divorce on May 3.
Court records show that Bill and Melinda have formally separated after their separation proceedings were finalized on Monday.
The former couple, who have three children, announced that they separated in May after 27 years of marriage, saying they could no longer “grow together”, while Melinda said in a lawsuit in May that she would not change her name.
Reports stated that Melinda filed for divorce in 2019 after it emerged that her husband was related to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender.
