The discovery of 3 cases of corona among the members of the South African Olympic team

The South African Football Association confirmed today, Sunday, the emergence of three confirmed cases of the emerging “Corona” virus in its Olympic football team, which is preparing to participate in the summer session in the Japanese capital, Tokyo.

“In the team’s camp here, we have three positive cases… two players and an official,” the team’s coach, Maksulisi Sibam, said in a statement issued by the federation.

And the South African Football Association announced that “both player Tabisu Munyani and Kamuhilo Mahlatsi were infected with the new Corona virus, and the result of the examination of an official in the team, Mario Masha, was also positive upon his arrival in Tokyo.”

The coach indicated that the team, as a result, entered a sanitary isolation before being allowed to train, and is awaiting the results of the tests conducted in the early hours of the day.

“This unfortunate situation deprived us of our first intensive training last night,” the coach added.

The South African Olympic team was scheduled to start its competition in the tournament against the host country, next Thursday, and the team will then meet with Mexico and France.
