Google warns: Popular Android apps steal Facebook passwords

The American company, “Google”, has issued a warning about the emergence of famous applications in the “Android” operating system that can steal the passwords of users of the social networking platform “Facebook”.

Google explained, according to what was published by the specialized technical website Engadget, that it is racing against time to withdraw some applications from its “Google Play” online store on the “Android” operating system, which seriously violate users’ privacy, and steal users’ Facebook passwords.

The number of downloads of these applications on Android devices reached more than 5.8 million times.

These applications trick Android systems into downloading JavaScript systems to download Facebook passwords with ease.

Google is currently restricting applications that carry this malware, and is seeking to permanently remove it from its online store.
