Satellites perform the task of extinguishing fires by detecting hot spots

The satellites are carrying out a new mission that will contribute to limiting the global warming that the Earth has been suffering from for decades, in conjunction with the high rate of fires that afflict some regions of the planet.

Fires, especially in the summer of each year or in times of extreme heat, cause the removal of large layers of the beautiful green envelope that distinguishes planet Earth from the rest of the planets of our solar system or the planets of the universe discovered to this day.
These fires devour large areas of forests and green spaces, such as the fires that occurred in the forests of Canada and the tropical forests of Brazil, and even those fires that devoured a large part of the coastal forests extending from Syria to Lebanon.

Earth is on a date with “massive fires”

According to the report published in the magazine “theconversation”, which spoke of a very high rate of fires on the planet in the last decade, the planet is on a date with “enormous” fires.

The report noted that the dry areas of grasses and forests that result from the rapid drying of the land after spring or winter, act as “fuel” that makes these fires rapidly spreading and sudden, which causes very large losses to wildlife and property.

“The significant increase in global temperatures, especially in the summer, leads to the conversion of trees, shrubs and herbs into dry fuel.”

New technology to detect fires after seconds or minutes

According to the article, there is a new and revolutionary technology that can detect fires within just 5 minutes of the time they start. For example, in 2019, the satellites of the company “Fireball International”, based in Australia, detected a fire in California 66 seconds after it broke out.
“The fire was verified within three minutes by the ALERT system, a network of cameras and sensors working in coordination, by three universities,” the report said.

In addition, satellites and high-altitude aircraft from NASA or other agencies and organizations can monitor the heat signals of the fires and measure the amount of gases produced, which helps to reduce the spread of fires quickly.
Drones capable of detecting fires

In addition to satellites, some of the developed “drones” launched by many research institutions operating in the world can detect these fires or collect data on them as well.
These aircraft use infrared and near-Earth imaging technologies to carry out these tasks.

Then, the processors and systems integrate the data provided by these aircraft, such as images, maps, etc., with the Global Positioning System (GPS), where the results provide firefighters on the ground with very valuable information that helps put out fires by creating simulations for quick decision-making in the field. the right time.
