No marriage in an Arab country for a week

It will not be possible to sign marriage contracts in one of the Arab countries, starting from the beginning of next month, and for a period of one week.

Today, Tuesday, the National Union of Moroccan Adouls (Legal Documentation) announced a strike to demand the amendment of one of the articles of a law passed 15 years ago in order to improve its working conditions.
The strike, which will start on July 1, will last for a week throughout the country, according to the “Morocco 24” website.

The union calls on the Ministry of Justice to respond to its demands to amend the law regulating the profession to keep pace with the developments of the current era.

During the strike period, no marriage contract will be issued in Morocco, nor will any other contracts, including real estate and commercial transactions, personal status matters and inheritance, be drawn up.

The strike of adouls in Morocco coincides with the summer vacation, when marriages are very popular.
