Barcelona officially announces the departure of its defender

Barcelona announced, in an official statement, today, Sunday, the departure of one of its defenders during the current summer transfer period.

According to the Catalan club’s statement, Nice has activated the purchase clause in the contract of French defender Jean-Clair Todibo.

Todibo has been playing with Nice since the last winter Mercato on loan, with the right to buy for 8.5 million euros.
Barcelona explained that it will receive another 7 million as variables in the deal, in addition to a percentage of any future sale of the player.

In another context, the Barcelona fans are in a state of anxiety, with the end of the contract of the Argentine Lionel Messi, the captain of the team, without reaching an agreement on the renewal so far.

Messi’s contract with Barcelona actually expires after 72 hours, and neither Barcelona nor the player has announced any news about the renewal yet.

The Barca fans are afraid of a big surprise, with the departure of the club’s legend this summer, especially since he wanted to leave last summer.

It is noteworthy that Messi is currently with his country to participate in the Copa America in Brazil.
