A Saudi fascinated by old cars turns his home into an exhibition of their unique models

About 53 vintage cars occupy an area of approximately 2,000 square meters in the garage of Saudi Nasser Al-Masari, in a project he says took many years.

The beginning was in 1984 during a classic car race in the Italian city of Florence, and here Al-Masari decided for the first time that he would “own an old car someday” and over the past forty years, he collected vehicles, some of which date back to the time of the Great Depression.

Al-Masari describes it as his “retirement project” and dreams of increasing his rare collection to the point of turning into a museum that attracts visitors from within his country and tourists from abroad.

Among his most prized possessions is a 1929 Cadillac, which he says may be the world’s only remaining one of its kind. According to “Reuters”.

He said, “I am really proud to own this car and I spent a lot of time and effort to bring it to Saudi Arabia and to Riyadh in particular. I was told that this car, and this is what I trust after my research, is the only one in the world … for several reasons as you know and the main reason is that it is an expensive car. Made at or just before the Great Depression.
