US President Joe Biden and his wife, First Lady Jill Biden, announced today, Saturday, “the death of their German Shepherd Dog Champ, who has been their dear constant companion” for 13 years.
“He was with us in our happiest moments and our saddest days and was sensitive to all our unspoken feelings and emotions,” Biden said. “We love our beautiful, kind dog and will always miss him.”
Champ was one of two dogs of the same breed who lived in the White House with the president and his wife.
