A lone elephant takes a rare wild trip after being separated from a herd of elephants, who was walking with him on a long walk, while passing through Yunnan, central China, heading to the north of the country.
And the Chinese newspaper, “South China Morning Post”, published a video clip, which monitors an aspect of the journey of the lone elephant, which has been searching for its herd, amid expectations that it will be able to catch up with them.
He was the only elephant with his herd before he separated from him earlier this month, during the herd’s journey through the province, which is located in central China.
The elephant herd had set out on a wild trip towards northern China, since late last year.
The newspaper says that the only elephant, separated from its herds, while scientists fear that it will suffer a lack of food if it does not leave the area before the rainy season.
The newspaper pointed out that experts monitored the presence of the elephant 17 kilometers from the herd that separated from it, noting that it is possible that the elephants of the herd are waiting for their companion, who was separated from them previously.

Although the migration of Asian elephants is a natural phenomenon, when it is caused by the search for food within a certain range.
But the migration of huge animals to great distances north of their traditional habitat is a rare phenomenon, especially when a herd of 15 elephants was spotted heading towards northern China on a long wild trip, during the month of April.
