The app helped achieve this dominant position, which is particularly popular in markets outside the United States, as it has become one of the most popular mobile social apps around the world.

Last January, the company announced the postponement of the implementation of new updates from February 8 to May 15, so that during this period users can read and accept the updates, after it sparked a wave of rumors and concerns about data privacy.
Earlier this month, the company announced a gradual restriction of the app’s functionality, including messages and calls, for those who will not accept new app updates after May 15.
