A South Korean singer talks about her joint art project with a Gulf singer

The South Korean singer “Alexa” said today, Wednesday, regarding cooperation with an Arab artist recently with the support of the music broadcasting platform Spotify, that the project is a new genre that has no precedent.

On the 21st of this month, Alexa revealed the new song entitled “Is It On” in which she collaborated with the Saudi Kuwaiti-based singer Bader Al-Shuaibi as part of “RADAR project: KOREA x MENA Collaboration”.

Spotify provides various forms of cultural cooperation to great artists who have demonstrated their capabilities through the “RADAR” radar program to expand their activities worldwide.

This is the first time for a South Korean artist to participate in Spotify’s “RADAR” radar program.

Alexa added via Spotify, “It is a great honor for me to be selected as the first Korean artist on the Korea Radar program, so I can meet new fans.”

Regarding the song composed of words in the Korean, Arabic and English languages, Aleska pointed out that “all the elements are very unique and culturally distinct as well, but at the same time each of them harmoniously blends with the other.”

“I would like more people to know through this project that music has no limits, and you can communicate through the music itself if you feel the rhythm,” she added.

Spotify was planning this collaborative project after K-pop witnessed high popularity as K-pop listening rates in the Middle East and North Africa increased by more than 140% within one year.
