What did Mohamed Salah say after winning the Liverpool Player of the Year award this season?

Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool player, has commented on winning the team’s best player award for this season 2020/2021.

And Liverpool had announced Mohamed Salah winning the 2020/2021 season’s player award by the crowd’s vote.

Through the Reds’ official website, Salah said, “Of course, I am happy to win this award, especially since it came after the fans vote, but winning the final matches and qualifying for the Champions League was the most important thing.”

“I think I played well this season, but it’s not just about me, it’s about the team,” he added.

“For us as a team, I think if the fans were on the stadium, our situation would have been much better. We have suffered a lot this season with the absence of the fans,” he added.

And he continued, “I was happy in the last game of the season that we played in the presence of the fans. It was wonderful to see them again on the field.”

“The most important thing in the season was Alison’s goal (referring to goalkeeper Alison Becker’s 95th-minute goal against West Bromwich Albion in the 37th round),” he added. “That was the moment when I felt we would play in the Champions League next season.”

“I want to say thank you very much for voting for me, I am very proud of that and will see you soon.”
