Knesset members: The decision to cease fire with “Hamas” is a disgrace to the State of Israel

Yesterday, Thursday, members of the Israeli Knesset said that their country’s decision to cease fire with the Gaza Strip is a disgrace to Israel.

The Hebrew newspaper “Yediot Aharonot”, this morning, Friday, quoted a member of the Knesset No. 2 of the “Yamina” party, Elite Shaked, the former Minister of Justice, that “an unconditional ceasefire, this is embarrassing.”
The former Knesset member affirmed that “victory must be by returning the children,” referring to the four Israeli prisoners and missing persons in the Gaza Strip, since the war on the Gaza Strip in 2014, known as “Protective Edge.”

For his part, Gideon Saar, head of the New Hope party, said, “The agreement is a disgrace to the State of Israel.”

This morning, Friday, a cease-fire began between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” at the time specified by Egyptian mediators. Earlier, the Israeli government announced the details of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, revealing that it was sponsored by Egypt.

The Israeli Cabinet for Security and Political Affairs “cabinet” approved the proposal submitted by Egypt for an unconditional ceasefire.

For his part, Abu Ubaida, the official spokesman for “Al-Qassam Brigades”, the military wing of “Hamas”, confirmed that the movement responded to the intervention of Arab mediators and suspended a large missile strike intended for Israel.

Abu Obeida said: “We say clearly, we have prepared a strike that covers all of Palestine from Haifa to Ramon, but we responded to the ceasefire to watch the enemy’s behavior until 2 o’clock on Friday dawn.”
