Israel will implement the ceasefire agreement based on the principle of calm in exchange for calm

An informed Palestinian source confirmed to RT that the Israeli Security Council “Al-Kabnit” has reached a ceasefire agreement, indicating that it works according to the principle of “calm in exchange for calm.”
The source pointed out, “Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was able to convince the cabinet despite strong opposition to the agreement.”

He added, “Egypt will announce the timing of the ceasefire.”

For his part, an Israeli source confirmed to RT, earlier, that “consultations are continuing in the Ministerial and Security Council, which discussed the declaration of a ceasefire, amid strong opposition to the proposal.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented during the council meeting a proposal for a unilateral ceasefire in Gaza.

Israeli officials indicated, to the “Walla” news site, that “there are expectations of a breakthrough within the next 24 hours in the negotiations regarding a ceasefire around the Gaza Strip.”

The officials, whose names were not disclosed by the Israeli website, stated that “negotiations are underway through two channels, which are the Egyptian intelligence services and the United Nations special envoy to the Middle East peace process, Tor Winsland.”

They added, “The Egyptian mediators are leading the consultations and are still in direct contact with the leadership of” Hamas “movement in the Gaza Strip, while Winsland traveled to Doha, where he met with the movement’s leaders residing there, who have some influence on the situation.
