The Eurovision music competition opens in the Netherlands

The “Eurovision” European music competition opened in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on Sunday May 16th, which gathered delegations from 34 of the 39 countries participating in the competition.
The opening ceremony of the competition was televised for delegations that were unable to come to Rotterdam due to the “Covid-19” epidemic.

For example, the Australian singer, Montan, who did not come to Rotterdam will participate in the competition remotely and has sent a music video call.

Also absent from the opening ceremony were the Polish and Icelandic delegations, whose members had tested positive for “Covid-19”.

As for the rest of the delegations, including the Russian delegation, they attended the opening ceremony of the competition, as did the Russian singer, Manega, who will perform the song “Russian Women” accompanied by the artists who assist her in the performance.

“Difficult moments in my life made me create this song and participate in the competition,” she said in an interview with the Russian “TASS” agency.

It is reported that, Russian singer Manega will participate in the first semi-final, which will be held on May 18. The final round will take place on May 22.
