Terrifying moments … a young man miraculously survives a predator

Jared Smith was walking along the Broads Fork in Utah, when a feral wild cat appeared and followed him for about five minutes.

Taking the terrifying footage, Jared said he was thinking of his family.

The video shows a frightened hiker repeatedly saying to the cougar cat: “I’m going away. I won’t bother you.”

According to the “Sun” website, the predator, which is located about 20 to 30 feet away, continued to wander towards Jared.

And Jared tells the Cougar again that he’s turning away and that he’s not going to hurt her, then it looks like the Cougar is speeding up as she heads towards Jared.

Five minutes later, the cougar veered to the side of the road and Jared was able to safely get back into his car.

Jared believes that the female wild cat was trying to protect her young, and he added that the terrifying experience frightened him, but it would not deter him from hiking.

This is not the first time a hiker has been pursued along a hiking trail in Utah.
