Russian nutrition expert, Olga Korapleva, talked about the nutritional properties of chicken breast and its multiple benefits that the body gains if we add it to our daily diet.
“The chicken breast is a beneficial nutrient for nerves and helps to lose weight,” said the expert Corabeleva.
“Chicken breast contains 160-170 calories per 100 grams, and it contains 21 grams of protein,” Curableeva explained.
She added: “The protein in chicken breast is easy to digest, unlike that found in beef or pork, and the fat content in it is only 9-10 grams and does not contain carbohydrates at all.”
And she continued: “Thus, chicken breast does not cause irritation in the digestive system, as it is allowed for those suffering from gastritis or pancreatitis to eat it.” The nutrition expert advised boiling chicken and cooking it without skin.
Corabeleva also indicated that “chicken breast contains phosphorous, calcium, iron and B vitamins, and its effect is very beneficial on the nervous system, strengthens the immune system, bones, teeth and nails, and helps muscle growth.”
And she added, “In addition, chicken breast contains less harmful cholesterol (55 milligrams) than other parts of chicken, such as the thighs and wings (80-85 milligrams per 100 grams).
“The basic principle of a healthy diet is that it should be varied,” she said.
She added, “You can eat chicken breast every day, it will have a positive effect on the muscles and bones. But it is best to include poultry on the menu two or three times a week, alternating with fish, meat and plant protein sources.”
