India seeks assistance from Egypt to alleviate the disaster of the Corona outbreak, and asks for medication from it

Today, Thursday, India directed a specific request to Egypt to alleviate the “Corona disaster”, in light of the worsening epidemic crisis in the Asian country recently.

Indian Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said, in a press conference, that his country “is in contact with pharmaceutical companies in Egypt regarding supplying them with the drug” remdesivir “that is used by patients with the new Corona virus,” stressing that it has made priority to oxygen imports, and that 40 countries have pledged to provide Backing up.

He stated, “We are talking about about 550 units to generate oxygen. It will come from various sources from all over the world.”

He pointed out that the UAE, Russia and others have offered to provide supplies of the drug “favipiravir” to treat “Covid 19”, adding that there are contacts with manufacturers in Egypt regarding supplies of “remdesivir”.

Today, Thursday, India recorded a record high in cases of coronavirus infection and deaths resulting from it, to exceed the total number of infections 18 million, and the Ministry of Health data revealed that 379,257 new infections and 3,645 deaths were recorded, Thursday, in the highest number of daily deaths recorded by the country since the start of the pandemic.
