Australian doctor Sam Hay warned of the dangers of daily bathing infants, noting that it is the main cause of rashes and exacerbation of diseases such as eczema.
The British “Mirror” newspaper quoted the doctor as saying: “There is no need for daily bathing for infants. It is best to do this two to three times a week.”
According to him, the number of times of showering depends on the climate in which the family lives and the activity of the child, pointing out that frequent bathing can cause dry skin, and the doctor said:
“To avoid this, it is best to use less soap and use moisturizers more often.”
On the other hand, Hay emphasized that lack of showers can cause skin irritation, promote bacterial growth and lead to serious skin problems.
