American magazine: Excluding Turkey from the F-35 program raises its production cost

The American company, which specializes in the manufacture of military aircraft engines, Pratt & Whitney, revealed that the consequences of excluding Turkey from the F-35 joint fighter program raise the cost of its production.
This was reported by the American “Defense News” magazine, noting that Pratt & Whitney, which manufactures F-35 engines, indicated that the cost of producing aircraft engines recorded an increase of 3 percent after excluding Turkey.

The magazine pointed out that 188 parts of the aircraft engine bearing the name “F-135” are manufactured in Turkey and are characterized by high quality and efficiency.

And she continued, “These parts are distinguished by their higher quality and less expensive than any other sources for their manufacture,” adding: “It has become possible to manufacture 75 percent of the components that were manufactured by Turkey for the plane, through companies in America, while the remaining percentage is obtained from suppliers. Others around the world. ”

The United States of America decided to exclude Turkey from the program to manufacture “F-35” fighters, of which it was part, due to its acquisition of the Russian missile defense system (S-400), which America failed to persuade it to abandon.
