Marches in Gaza in solidarity with the Jerusalemites, despite the Israeli bombing

The demonstrations in solidarity with Jerusalemites continued in Gaza City, despite the Israeli bombardment, which it was exposed to, since the dawn of today, Saturday.

According to the correspondent of the Palestinian News Agency, “Wafa”, the Fatah movement organized a march and a protest in the Al-Rimal neighborhood in Gaza City, and stationed in the Square of the Unknown Soldier in the city.
“Crowds of citizens” took part in the stand, chanting slogans in support of Al-Aqsa Mosque and in support of Jerusalemites.

According to the reporter, “the participants raised Palestinian flags and banners saluting the steadfastness of Jerusalemites and their confrontation of the occupation soldiers and settlers, and affirming the Arabism and Islamicness of Al-Aqsa Mosque and not allowing the Jewish occupation schemes to pass in Jerusalem.”

And different areas of the Gaza Strip witnessed spontaneous protest marches in the late hours of last night, which continued until dawn today, Saturday.

It is noteworthy that the Israeli army bombed, at dawn today, Saturday, a site belonging to the “Hamas” movement in the Gaza Strip, in response to what it said was firing rockets from the Strip towards Israel.

The Israeli army spokesman confirmed: “A military tank attacked a Hamas position in response to the rocket fire from the Gaza Strip.”

Warning sirens sounded in Israeli municipalities on the border of the Gaza Strip twice, on Friday night, when rockets were fired from the Strip.

Clashes have erupted in the city of Jerusalem since the beginning of the month of Ramadan between Jerusalemites and the Israeli forces, which culminated, on Thursday, with the injury of more than a hundred Jerusalemites, as the Israeli police tried to prevent the Jerusalemites from reaching the Al-Aqsa Mosque to perform Tarawih prayers.
