Today, Thursday, the “Twitter” company announced that it will allow its users to tweet pictures in “4K” resolution, through the “Android” operating systems from Google or “iOS” from Apple.
“It’s time to tweet those high-resolution images – the option to download and view 4K images on Android and iOS is now available to everyone,” the company said in a tweet on its account.

The web version of the platform supports high-resolution images (with a resolution of up to 4096 x 4096 pixels), but mobile applications are limited to only half that resolution, and a maximum resolution of 2048 x 2048 pixels.
Earlier this year, the company began testing 4K images upload for mobile phone users, and it seems that those tests have gone well, as the feature is now being rolled out to all users, starting today.
