WhatsApp users are at risk of piracy

It seems that the owners of smartphones that run on Android operating systems on which the instant messaging application “WhatsApp” with a version until 2.21.4.18 is installed, appears to be at risk of remote hacking.
According to what was published by “Population IT Security Works” on its website, the problem of exchanging confidential data between users in versions prior to 2.21.4.18 for the WhatsApp application for working on the Android system, allows attackers to remotely access the user’s correspondence.

According to experts, attackers will be able to interfere in dialogue in order to trick or observe someone.

Another vulnerability helps attackers send a specially crafted HTML file to a victim via WhatsApp. When you open a document, a malware is activated that opens access to any resource on the smartphone.

It seems that the specialists are not aware of the real cases of attacks, however, in order to protect themselves from surveillance and protect their data, experts have recommended that users update the messaging software to version 2.21.4.18 or higher.

Earlier, WhatsApp users were warned of the danger of being banned. Attackers take advantage of app “vulnerabilities”, such as linking an account to a phone number and the ability to restrict access to a messaging program by calling a service support service.
