Drinking tea in this case increases the risk of developing cancer

In an interview with the Turkish newspaper “Cumhuriyet”, Professor Vedat Gural spoke about the great health risks of drinking hot tea.

Gural noted that 456,000 people participated in the study, and said, “These people were followed up for several years. Drinks with a temperature of 65 degrees Celsius and above were found to increase the risk of developing esophageal cancer. And 50,000 people were monitored in America, where the researchers found. Speaking about esophageal cancer, the expert said: “Some consider this disease the sixth cause of death in the world, and others say it is the eighth … If a person drinks hot tea, in addition to smoking and drinking alcohol, the risk of infection becomes higher.” .

Wait three or four minutes

The expert advised waiting three to four minutes before drinking tea so that the hot drink does not burn the skin of the esophagus and cause ulcers, and if the condition becomes chronic, this will be a catalyst for the development of cancer.
