Princess Diana biopic Spencer has moved to the UK for what it’s calling the “final stretch” of filming, and to mark the occasion, a new image of Kristen Stewart as the late Princess of Wales has been released.
Our latest look at Kristen in the titular role comes just two months after our first, offering us a glimpse of a different Diana. Gone is the pensive gaze out the window, and instead we see Kristen’s Diana posing for the camera, looking as captivating and graceful as ever.
Written by Steven Knight and directed by Pablo Larraín, Spencer has shifted to the UK after recently finishing production in Germany. The hotly-anticipated biopic is expected to premiere in autumn of this year.
The official synopsis reads: “December, 1991: The Prince and Princess of Wales’ marriage has long since grown cold. Though rumours of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at Sandringham Estate.
“There’s eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. This year, things will be a whole lot different.”
Opening up about the pressure of taking on such a role, Kristen recently admitted that the significance of embodying a beloved figure has made her “stand to attention in the best way”.
She added: “Everybody’s perspective is different and there’s no way to get anything right, because what is fact in relation to personal experience?”
