The Japanese Radio and Television Corporation said that an earthquake occurred in the north of the country today, Saturday, and hit areas devastated by the 2011 earthquake, adding that it caused a tsunami of a meter high.

The authority indicated that the initial strength of the earthquake, which occurred in Miyagi County, is 7.2 magnitude.
