Vogue magazine publishes photos from a Russian perennial photo session

Vogue magazine, in its Italian version, published photos from a photo session of an 83-year-old Russian retired from Chelyabinsk on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

Toshkova’s granddaughter confirmed in an interview with the newspaper “74ru”, that all family members liked the photos to the point that they allowed the photographer Sasha Samatova to use them. Samatova, in turn, sent them to “Vogue” fashion magazine.

Toshkova’s granddaughter said: “My grandmother was anxious throughout the photo session and used to say: I am old. We wanted to assure her that femininity does not disappear with age.”

For her part, photographer Samatova told the grandmother: “You still have the whole life ahead of you. Some women of your age become models.”
