The White House announced that US President Joe Biden believes it is necessary to update the mechanism for approving the use of his country’s military force abroad.
“It was necessary to update that a long time ago,” White House spokeswoman Jane Psaki told a news conference on Friday.
She indicated that the US administration had conducted a comprehensive legal study on military operations.
Earlier this week, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that the new US administration would not spread democracy in the world through military interventions and overthrowing regimes.
