The British finance minister said the idea of giving people passports or vaccination certificates to allow them to enter places could be a way to help the country and its economy recover from the coronavirus.
Minister Rishi Sunak told BBC television on Sunday, “It is clearly a complex but potentially relevant question that can help us reopen those parts of our country such as mass events.”
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said last week that the government would conduct a review to look at scientific, ethical, philosophical and ethical questions about the use of vaccine certificates for people who have contracted the Coronavirus, which could help reopen entertainment and hospitality venues.
On the other hand, Sunak said that it is difficult to fix the financial situation overnight, days before the budget is presented, which is expected to include more borrowing to guide the economy during the Corona crisis, telling Sky News: “This is not something that will happen overnight. Given the size of the shock we experienced, and the scale of the damage, it will take time to fix this … it is important … that you also have strong public funding over time. ”
