On Saturday, the British authorities evacuated about 2,600 properties in the southwestern city of Exeter, before defusing a World War II bomb.
According to police, the bomb was discovered on Friday during construction work near a university campus.
Roads in the area were closed to traffic.
The police added that the bombing process must be completed by the end of Saturday, and explained that a public safety issue such as this led to some exceptions with regard to social distancing rules.
And from time to time, unexploded bombs dating back to World War II are found in Britain, but at a lower rate than Germany.
