A Saudi channel responding to “Erdogan’s map”: Ankara used TV drama to invade the Arab world

The official Saudi Al-Ikhbariya channel published a report in which it responded on the virtual map published by a private Turkish channel for Turkey that includes Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf in general.

The report, which was published by Saudi Arabia’s Al-Akhbariya on its official Twitter page, stated that “the policy of soft diplomacy was evident in the Turkish drama that was employed in the Arab world to serve the foreign policy objectives of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.”

The report pointed out that the Turkish dramatic invasion was divided into two stages, “the first was through love stories and the dedication of pictures of beauty, race and Turkish land in order to attract tourism and draw closer to Europe, and the second stage in which Erdogan’s imperial dreams were exposed in parallel with the move to produce several series talking about the Turkish state.” Ottoman women like the harem of the Sultan up to the resurrection of Artgrel. ”

The Turkish private channel TGRT attributed the hypothetical map to the American “Stratfor” research center, in its report entitled: “The CIA’s shadow map of Turkey in 2050”. The map showed the extension of Turkish influence by 2050 from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in the east through Saudi Arabia and Egypt to Libya in the west.
