She adds, pistachios are low in calories and have a good amount of antioxidants. It is also rich in omega-3 fatty acids and dietary fiber.

“Pistachios also contain antioxidants, which prevent the development of cancer and chronic diseases. Lutein and zeaxanthin play a special role in improving visual acuity,” she says.

And the expert notes, that nuts contain the highest percentage of omega-3 fatty acids. She says: Walnuts have been used since ancient times in the treatment and prevention of atherosclerosis and cancers.

As for cashews, it is useful in lowering the level of blood pressure, because above all it contains vitamins B, K and E in addition to phosphorous, iron, magnesium, manganese, selenium and zinc.
