White spokeswoman Jane Saki said at the daily press briefing, Thursday, that the United States welcomes the joint statement of ceasefire between India and Pakistan.
On Thursday, Pakistan and India pledged a cross-border ceasefire in the disputed Kashmir region, and promised to abide by the agreement concluded in this regard in 2003, but the two countries largely ignored it since that period.
