Abdel Hakim Al-Shalmani, president of the Libyan Football Association, announced during a video clip published by the federation’s official Facebook account today, Thursday, that the security ban on Libyan stadiums has been lifted.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) imposed a ban on Libyan stadiums in the summer of 2014, due to political divisions and the security situation, which is witnessing a breakthrough in many local and international tracks.
The decision comes after a tour by a delegation from “CAF” to the Libyan stadiums recently.
Libyan clubs and national teams have fought their matches in recent years outside Libya, between Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco.
