Young Joshua Burns, 30, from Vancouver, Canada, embarks on his journey to transform into a dragon at the age of 19, determined to become the most resilient person in the world.
So Burns, the artist who used to blow fire from his mouth and sell reptiles, performed plastic surgery during which he split his tongue in half, then drew eyeballs, and carved strange shapes on his arms, in addition to many tattoos, in an attempt to gradually become like a dragon.
He adds, “I love the stage I have reached, but every time I get another tattoo or an amendment, I feel more confident and happier, and this helps in my career.”
Burns, a reptile freak since he was a child, started working in carnivals during his teens, eventually moving on to become a street wizard and musician.
In his late teens, he got a mohawk haircut and several holes in his body, he already had an alternate look, and his parents were hoping this would be a stage in their son’s life and it would pass quickly.
“I absolutely loved the result when it was over,” says the young man. “I felt like I was the person I was supposed to be.”
Soon after, Burns traveled around the US in a van and learned more humor tricks. Now, his performance includes breathing fire and walking on glass, putting nails in his nose and hanging himself through metal hooks piercing his skin.
Between the ages of 21 and 26, Burns obtained at least one body modification and large tattoo annually, including his two eyeballs, which cost him $ 1,000.Unsurprisingly, Burns’s appearance attracts attention when he is anywhere, as strangers used to point and stare at him, and the young man says, “I don’t take it personally, I chose to be like this, so only normal people would be curious. Some people make hateful comments, I don’t really care about the opinions of anyone who does not respect me. What is important to me is that I am happy. ”
