Titanic is one of the most iconic films of all time and an alternative ending has gone viral for all of the wrong reasons.
The deleted scene is thought to have originally featured as bonus content on a DVD version of the movie in 2005, but it has now come back after being circulated on Twitter.
Originally, Titanic was released in 1997 and followed the love story of Rose (Kate Winslet) and Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio). Rose boards the Titanic boat with her family and is set to be married – she meets Jack while onboard and everything she had planned for her life changes.
The alternate ending to Titanic is hilarious. This would have absolutely ruined the film for me pic.twitter.com/L3vSrSb72e

In the movie’s final scene, we find out that Rose had the necklace all along and we see her dash it overboard so that it can be laid to rest alongside Jack. However, no-one saw Rose do this, until now.
The deleted scene changes that aspect of the plot and shows an alternative ending that has left many people wondering if the Titanic movie would’ve been as successful with this ending.
Upon the big reveal, Rose places the necklace in the hands of Brock Lovett (Bill Paxton) who is happy to find what he’s been looking for. However, after looking at Rose he changes his mind and no longer sees the value in the necklace.
This has left viewers with many questions as Brock smiles while looking on at Rose as she throws the jewellery into the ocean.
“‘That really sucks lady!’ about sums it up. This is hilarious!” shared one viewer. Another added: “So do you think with that ending it still would’ve won best picture and 11 Oscars?” followed by laughing emojis.
