The retired Egyptian soccer star, Mohamed Abu Trika, commented on the victory of the Egyptian club Al-Ahly, today, Thursday, over its Qatari counterpart, Al-Duhail, in the FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar.
Abu Trika tweeted, through his official account on the “Twitter” site: “Congratulations to the Al-Ahly World Cup .. Al-Ahly, as usual, honors you in every moment .. we love you, my family, with success in the next, God willing.”The first comment from Abu Trika about the victory of “Al-Ahly” of Egypt comes after users of social networking sites noticed his absence from the analytical studio for today’s match on the “beIN Sport” sports channel, which increased their questions, especially after he was also absent from the team’s reception the moment he arrived.
The Egyptian journalist Amr Adib suggested that “the measures to prevent the Corona virus imposed in Qatar prevented the Egyptian star from receiving the mission of his former team.”
Tweeters claimed that Abu Trika was not wanted, based on instructions received by the club’s president, Mahmoud Al-Khatib, for political reasons.
While others explained that “the Al-Ahly mission is completely subject to the Bubble system, which prevents it from any person from outside the mission.”
The Egyptian club Al-Ahly overcame the hurdle of the Qatari team, Al-Duhail, with a dramatic victory (1-0) on Thursday evening, and hit a date with Bayern Munich in the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar.
The FIFA Club World Cup will be held from 4 to 11 February.
The Al-Ahly delegation in the World Cup is headed by Captain Mahmoud Al-Khatib, President of the Egyptian Club, where the team is participating in this tournament for the sixth time, representing the continent of Africa, after winning the CAF Champions League for the ninth time.
