Exciting confrontations in the AFC Cup draw

The draw for the group stage of the AFC Cup, which was held today, Wednesday, in Malaysia, via video technology, resulted in exciting confrontations between the teams participating in the tournament.

The Lebanese Al-Ahd team won the lottery in Group A in the West Asia region, with the Bahraini Hidd, Al-Wehda Syria and Omani Al-Nasr teams.

The second group included in the western region of the Jordanian Salt Division, the Palestinian Balata Center, the Lebanese Ansar, and the Bahraini Muharraq.The third group included Tishreen Al-Suri, Al-Seib Al-Omani, Al-Faisali of Jordan and a preliminary round winner.

The fourth group for the South Asia region included Mohun Bagan of India, Pashondara of Bangladesh, Mazia Sports from the Maldives and a winner from the qualifiers.

The fifth group, belonging to the central region of the continent, included Ravshan teams from Tajikistan, Dordoy from Kyrgyzstan, and native Turkmenistan.

The sixth group of the Central Continent region also came from the AJMKO team. Nasaf from Uzbekistan, Asir figs from Turkmenistan, Khujand from Tajikistan, and Alai from Kyrgyzstan.

In the ASEAN region, Group G included Vietnamese teams Hanoi, Indonesia’s Bali United, Boeing Kit from Cambodia and a qualifier winner.And the eighth group included the Malaysian mug, the Singaporean Lyon City Sellers and the Vietnamese Saigon, and a winner from the qualifiers.

And the ninth group included Kaya Iloilo of the Philippines, Shan United or Ayyawaddy United from Myanmar, Malaysia’s Terengganu and Singapore’s Geelang United.

In the East Asian region, Group 10 included Eastern Long Lions from Hong Kong, Tainan City from Taiwan, Athletic from Mongolia and Li Man from Hong Kong.

The AFC had previously announced an increase in the number of clubs participating in the group stage of the AFC Cup from 36 to 39 clubs, as a new group was added in the central region.

This year’s AFC Cup winner is set to get a place in the preliminary round of the 2020 AFC Champions League.

It is expected that the preliminary rounds of the tournament will start on April 6, and the group stage matches will start on May 14 with the assembly system.
